Terms of Use

By using the Fortera app (“the App”, “the Service”) you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Account

An account is required to sync data. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for actions taken under your account. Please provide accurate details when registering.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the App for unlawful purposes, not to attempt to disrupt its operation or gain unauthorised access to other users' data, and not to post in the social features any content that is abusive, unlawful, or belongs to someone else without the right to use it.

3. Your content

The training data, photos and notes you create remain yours. By posting content to the feed or via a public link, you grant us a limited right to store and display it so those features can work. You are responsible for the content you publish.

4. Fortera Pro (subscription)

Fortera Pro is a paid subscription: higher AI coach limits and the extra features described on the purchase screen. The core workout logging stays free.

The subscription is bought and billed through the app store (Google Play; the App Store once Pro is available there), using your store account. The price, billing period and any free-trial terms are shown by the store before you buy and may differ by country. Payment is charged to your store account when you confirm the purchase, and again at the start of each new period. The store tells you about a price change in advance and, where its rules require it, asks for your consent.

The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can cancel at any time in the store’s subscription settings (Google Play → Payments & subscriptions; on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions); Pro stays on until the end of the period already paid for. A free trial, where offered, is available once and turns into a paid subscription unless cancelled before it ends. If you buy a subscription during a free trial, the unused part of the trial is forfeited.

Pro belongs to your Fortera account and works on every device signed in to it. Deleting your Fortera account does not cancel the store subscription — cancel it in the store. Refunds follow the store’s rules and are requested from the store: in Google Play from your Google account’s order history, in the App Store at reportaproblem.apple.com. If a payment is refunded or revoked, Pro is switched off.

5. Beta versions

The App may be distributed as a beta (including through TestFlight). Beta features are provided “as is”, may contain errors, and may change or be switched off without prior notice.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of derived metrics, uninterrupted operation, or preservation of data, and we recommend keeping backups of anything important (CSV export is available).

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages, including injury, loss of data or lost profits, arising from the use of or inability to use the App.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are breached.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The date of the current version is shown at the top of this page. By continuing to use the App you accept the updated Terms.
